The Big Picture

At Images and Nerds, we feel like the comic book companies and the creators on their rosters have a great responsibility: to save us from the daily grind through amazing stories starring our favorite heroes and heroes we wouldn’t mind getting to know a little better.  Sometimes, we think they’ve lived up to that responsibility.  Sometimes we don’t.  Either way, we’re going to let them–and you–know about it.

If you’ve got something you’d like to share about the comics you’re reading, or if you’d like to comment on something we’ve said about the comics you’re reading, please join the conversation.

Join us here at Images and Nerds, where “we’re turning pages–and writing about them.”

  1. Hi Scott! Thanks so very much for the enthusiastic review of Popeye and the stupendous scripts by Roger and awesome art by Vince and Tom. If you’d be so kind please amend your review to list my amazing co-editors Ted Adams and Clizia Gussoni–they do all the heavy lifting, actually (I have a bad back! ARF! ARF!). Your fan, Craig P.S. Thanks again, Scott, and please check out the Popeye Classic comics we’re doing filled with Bud Sagendorf goodness!

  2. Hi Craig! Thanks for checking out our site! It was actually me who posted that review, not Scott. I made the changes you suggested. One question about Popeye Classics – does it reprint the same material that was included in your EXCELLENT “Popeye: The Great Comic Book Tales by Bud Sagendorf”? (plug)
Thanks for putting out a great comic. It warms the barnacles of my heart.
